Compassionate Mental Health Care in Kansas

Sunflower Mental Wellness, LLC was founded with a simple vision: to provide compassionate, high-quality mental healthcare in a comfortable and welcoming environment for the people of rural Kansas. Serving South Central Kansas through locations in Hutchinson and Pratt, our practice is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care that treats each patient as a whole person.

Co-founders Mindy L. Manning, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, and Andrea L. Morgan, DNP, APRN, PHMNP-BC opened the original clinic at 1206 N. Main in Hutchinson in May 2024 after years of working in a variety of mental health settings, including hospitals, community mental health, outpatient clinics, and both large and small healthcare organizations. Through those experiences, they recognized a need for a more personal approach to care—one that allows providers the time to truly listen, build meaningful relationships, and collaborate with patients to create individualized treatment plans.

In March 2026, Heather J. Hoyt, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, joined the practice, bringing additional experience in inpatient psychiatry, addictions treatment, rural healthcare, ICU nursing, and outpatient mental health care. Together, the providers share a commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where patients feel heard, valued, and empowered in their treatment.

Sunflower Mental Wellness, LLC, is proud to have brought the first Spravato clinic for treatment-resistant depression to Hutchinson and Reno County. Seeing the life-changing impact of this treatment strengthened our commitment to expanding access to innovative mental health care throughout rural Kansas. This vision contributed to our growth into Pratt in 2026, allowing us to serve more patients while continuing our mission of increasing access to advanced treatment options closer to home.

As the practice grew, we expanded into a second Hutchinson location at 1202 N. Main and welcomed independent therapists into our shared spaces, helping provide more comprehensive mental health services within the community. We believe that strong partnerships and a team-based approach help create the best outcomes for patients.

Mindy, APRN, and Andrea, APRN, have deep roots in Reno County. Mindy, APRN, was born and raised in Hutchinson, and Andrea, APRN, has lived in the area for more than 20 years. Both have raised their families in local communities and are passionate about ensuring that individuals living in rural areas have access to the same quality mental healthcare and innovative treatment options often found in larger cities.

At Sunflower Mental Wellness, LLC, our goal is not only to expand access to care but to provide thoughtful, individualized, and forward-thinking treatment that helps people find healing, stability, and hope. Every decision we make is guided by our belief that mental healthcare should be compassionate, collaborative, and accessible.
